Founded in 1995, Animation World Network (AWN.com) is the leading publisher of animation and visual effects-related news and information resources on the Internet. We are currently looking for freelance web designers to help with a variety of projects. AWN seeks people who are experienced in designing consumer oriented websites that are graphically rich, presenting video, graphics and text in interesting and exciting ways.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator

• Strong conceptual design skills

• Cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility knowledge

Experience Requirements:

• Associates degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design or other visual arts; Bachelors preferred

• 1-3 years experience designing Web applications; high amount of "user-friendliness" a plus

• Strong online portfolio available for viewing with verifiable project and business references

• Understanding of XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and Web 2.0 a plus
